'Plantlore' Exhibition
Location: Chelsea Physic Garden, 66 Royal Hospital Road, Chelsea, London SW3 4HS
The exhibition explores early modern medicine and folklore through the lens of the pioneering female Victorian botanist Anne Pratt whose accessible publications helped introduce the study of plants to a wider audience. Her multi-volume work, The Flowering Plants and Ferns of Great Britain, combines detailed botanical illustrations and descriptions with an accessible approach to the plants around us.
