'Witchcraft and Magic in England, c. 1400–1920'

We are delighted to announce that British Online Archives (BOA) has launched a new resource, Witchcraft and Magic in England, c.1400-1920 - particuarly as material from our collections are included!

As well as material from The Folklore Society Libary & Archives, Witchcraft and Magic in England includes material from  the British Library, the National Archives (UK) and University College London Special Collections. 

In total, the recource consists of over over 57,000 images, charting the evolution of witchcraft and magic in England over five centuries. It incorporates a broad range of records and texts, exploring an array of key topics and themes, such as belief, gender, medicine, politics, religion, and science.

From our titles included, we were delighted to see one of them, 'The History of Witches and Ghosts and Highland Seers' featured  in BOA's 'Document of the Week' to tie in with last week's launch.
