EFDSS Online Course: Folk Song in England

Following Steve Roud’s Folk Song in England course earlier this year, he will teach a follow-on level 2 version this coming autumn, with guest speaker Dr Julia Bishop.

Continuing their new library series, Folk Uncovered: Online Courses, the level 2 Folk Song in England with Steve Roud course is designed for those who attended the level 1 version, or those who already have a basic understanding and knowledge of the history of traditional songs and singing.

Join Steve, creator of the Roud Folk Song Index, with the English Folk Dance and Song Society, for this series of six evening online seminars on the social history of traditional song and singing in England.

Online sessions take place Thursday evenings, 7.30pm-9pm (BST) on:
9 October
16 October
23 October
30 October
6 November
20 November

The sessions will take place on Zoom, and be recorded and available to watch for any bookers unable to attend a session live. Details and links to join the sessions will be sent to all those registered in due course.

Course fee is £70 or £40 concessions.
