The Folklore Society

What We Do...

Personal members of the Folklore Society will be able to benefit from FLS events including lectures, conferences, and exhibitions held both in London and around the United Kingdom. At its prestigious annual lecture, established in memory of Dr Katharine Briggs, scholars of international repute are invited to address the Society. Folklore Society publications include a journal, Folklore, a newsletter, FLS News, and books and pamphlets under the imprint FLS Books. The Society's substantial library, archive, and information service are available to personal members and constitute a unique resource for the study of folklore, both old and new, and its role in people's lives.
