The Folklore Society is a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. Its directors are currently: Mr Andrew Bennett, Dr Eddie Cass, Prof. Jill Kraye, Prof. Patricia Lysaght RIA, Mr Robert McDowall, Prof. W.F. Ryan, Dr Juliette Wood. One third of the directors retire each year by rotation but may be re-elected. However, the day-to-day activities and decisions are the responsibility of the Folklore Society Committee and Officers.
